Nah, this ones pretty much done. That is unless we get Leila another car and then I take over this one. I've already seen a guy in Cali running 18x9.5's with stock STi struts and springs and they fit without a hitch. Soooooooooooo the wheel options are there.

Yup, it is what it is.

If you really wanted to get more out of your autotragic Forester in terms of power and responsiveness, you could get it professionally tuned (and I don't mean the AccessPort route). Like everyone else said before, it is what it is, but it's still no slouch and IMHO better looking than a lot of other small SUV's out there.

Well, I've had the AP on and installed since October of 09. IMO, it responds well, but i haven't flashed it past the usual mods. Do you think there was any support for me when i was looking for answers? Do you think anyone helped me when i was looking for help? No. So if I sound a little dick-ish, then well it is what it is I suppose. But 04 sleeper, shaggy and myself have all done our own research without much help at all from the hawaii section of i-club. You need to put in a little time in order to get the answers you want. People are'nt freely going to "give them out", esp. to a total stranger.
You may have been here a while, but "I" don't think I've personally met you, and I've met a lot of people. You just need to relax, and not insult people who you want help from. There are people who innovate, and there are those who immitate. Anyone can come on and ask, what is a good setup for me? And you would be asking from those who have done it, possibly ordering parts that were'nt designed for your car, and having to sell it for a loss. Are you going to pay for those things? No. I didn't think so. So save it, eat some humble pie, and maybe someone will help you.

You could also do what 04 Sleeper said and SubaruFrester.org. There is a lot of info on there specific to the Forester that you can't find on i-Club. Being that I am a former Forester owner, that's where I went for all my info (and asked Justin a few questions here and there).

I'm sorry, I really don't know where I came off like that - was it the op, or somewhere along the way? My understanding of I-club is how it was when I was in high school - it was a place where we could ask questions and share knowledge, and build each others experiences of owning subies. I had a wrx and sure I did all the research myself, bought all the parts used, and installed everything myself - and I definately had a sense of pride (especially after I had to jack the engine up with the mounts still on to install the up pipe lol), but I never felt spiteful when I saw other threads on i-club of people asking for help. I mean, there are all types of threads started ranging from "any tips to driving stick?" or "anyone up for an install day" and of course we get myroncuz's "what bov is good" threads haha, but I didn't think this particular thread would go this route. I guess I should have known better.

anyway, again I apologize for insulting people, and truly did not intend for that. I really am not like that.

thanks for the input guys,
-mike

you just gotta understand that your op basically came across as "omg this xt sucks ***** and i need to go fast so what do it do!!!???!!". you pretty much insulted us xt owners by calling our cars crap and then asking us for help on how to not make it such a terrible car to own. you see where i'm going? i'm sure that most of us xt owners would love to be in the 300hp range but being as mine is less than a year old, i want to at least break it in and have the warranty in case i might have a problem. what i would tell anyone with a new suby is to consider the handling before you go power crazy. get some rims/tires, sways, springs/coilovers, upgrade the pads and lines, ect. make sure the car will handle the power you are gonna stick in it and by then you should have enough understanding to know what you can or shouldn't do as far as power mods. i'm sure you know by now the xt is not a wrx so it has a much higher margin for error and needs to be made to handle the extra power. better rims and tires, sways, and springs/coilovers will probably make the car more enjoyable to drive than just going stage 2 so imo thats where you should start. if however you really just want more power then you can go for a straight stage 2 full catless system and an access port with custom tune. if you want more then add headers, a larger IC, and an intake. if thats still not enough you can go all out and throw in a 20g. really like i said the xt is a wrx from an engine standpoint so it's nothing new to modifications. happy hunting

Mike! LOL, play nice!

haven't seen you in a while bro! what happened to the BMW?

pretty much anything you could have done to your WRX wagon (and you decided not to before you sold it) you can definitely do to your forester.

haha, guys I'm really sorry I absolutely did not want to sound like an *** at all. again 04sleeper, point made, I can see what you mean about the op. I was initially dissapointed by the power of the 09 fxt, because I was still under the false pretense that the fxt had a detuned Sti engine lol. and Brandon, Maria isn't a very nice person, just nice to look at haha

It's Trogdor from Homestarrunner.com...the whole story behind that is hillarious (well, at least I think so)

Joey: He's burninating the countryside!! lol, John: wassup man, the 335i is...not nearly as fun as the wrx was to drive - I'll be the first to admit it. little disappointing I must say, handles like mush, but then again doesn't beat you up over the bumps.
Brandon: I think the "talents" of Ms Strom transcend her personality off camera OOO YEAA
