anyone had trouble

i just was wonderimg if anyone was having trouble wit thier radios in the 05 wrx's or sti's like it skipping all the time when you play a cd cause it has trouble reading it or it scracthing your cd's the reason im asking is cause my friend is having the same trouble as i am

05 sti here, no scratching cds or skipping or anything...

once in a while around the later tracks it skips. i didnt get any scratched cds tho... but it doesnt matter, I got a new HU today

Maybe you have a slightly defective HU... but most laser product... like CD player the laser stream usually slightly less stable towards the end. Time for a new HU? Very good excuse to upgrade... stock HU is crap.
