Anyone had this before?

blown rings on a cylinder?
P0302...

swap plugs...miss doesnt follow...
swap cop...miss doesnt follow...
swap injector...miss doesnt follow...

compression test...#2 30psi...
#4 130psi....

not gonna send it to the dealer thats an arm and a leg for the required labor work...so i guess ill be working on this @ home....wife better not say anything if i order a shortblock...guess a good time to pick up some tools to remove the cam....

mods on the car?
cat back exhaust...
stock engine w/ stock tune...
odo... 9x,xxx
suggestions on short block? was gonna just change the rings...

Compression test says it all. If you have the means, replace the pistons and rings. And might as well upgrade the rods while you're in there. I assume people have good luck with ACL bearings on these engines?

damn you already have 9xk on your car damn bro! its just a small island hahahaha...... you dont also have a dp do you?

is a cat back the only mod? no ap no boost controller? MAPerformance has some sice SB for sale also GST motorsports. if you go threw MAP ask for adam and let him know shaggy from hawaii sent ya

what can i say...my wife likes to drive the family car a lot!!!...rofl!!!

stock downpipe...wanted to keep the car really trouble free...even changing out the air filters a simple plug and play... no ap or boost controller....sti has enough power stock...

could be ringlands too... pistons are weaksauce

fastest fix here if you aren't planning on putting special stuffs in the block...

I'd get a MPS motor if I had money. Not necessarily this 2.1L Stroker but they have other packages and they're ****. Like more **** than Lance Bass, George Takei and Boy George locked in a room.

I got mine from flatironstuning back in 2010.

Ebay has some good deals with Pistons and Rods already installed.

Stock Pistons are TRASH!
