Is anyone else like me?
Do you have to hide your boner during American Chopper and Monster Garage on the Discovery Channel?
It occured to me, not that this would say anything about my aptitude either way; that I thoroughly enjoy watching TV shows about tuning, fabricating, and innovating much more than I enjoy watching other people get to race. I guess that this doesn't point to me not liking racing, so much as I get a little bored watching other people race.
Shows like Monster Garage have this ADD posterchild's attention for the entire hour.

I know what you mean, it's a good thing for commercials
Hmm, I cant stand Monster Garage, I guess Im the oursider on this one. I prefer the Junkyard Wars and something with competition. Just taking a Mustang and making a lawnmower doesnt do anything for me. I also do like American Chopper and agree the son is the one who designs all the crap, he makes the **** up in his head and makes it a reality then Dad and something that muscle-bound guy jump all over him. Im sorry, but it takes more than brawn to run that business and the kid is the one making it happen. Oh well. Gimme racing over those anyday.
Nascar completely lost its appeal to me. I prefer Australian V8 and want to see the JGTC as well. I need digital, but hate having an extra damn box around to confuse the sheet outta me.

My favorite shows in no particular order: (they're the just shows that my Tivo records for me)
1. FIA WRC
2. Monster Garage
3. Dream Car Garage
4. Hot Rod TV
5. Motor Trend TV
6. Junkyard Wars
7. Relic Hunter (gotta love Tia Carrere!)
8. Futurama
9. South Park
10. Star Trek: Enterprise (I just started watching this - there's an episode with Jolene Blalock's character going into "heat" that had me mental!)
11. Fast Lane (Tiffany Amber Thiessen!)
12. Connections
13. All sorts of forensics/new detective kinds of shows
14. Modern Marvels
15. Motor Week
16. Will & Grace (hey - it's funny - sue me)
17. Saturday Night Live (I like vintage better than new)
18. Mad TV
I don't like much that's on prime time... I tried Alias and 24 but they just bored me when Jennifer Garner wasn't on the screen.

Forgot about Australian V8 Supercars! That's what NASCAR should be! Loud, raucous V8's on a road course. AWESOME!
JGTC doesn't do too much for me though.

I only had digicable for a few days, and now I'm back to cheap cheap cheap cable ($10 a month
) Therefore I don't get to watch everything I like. I really like racing (not NASCAR, anymore. My ****ing roomate at BNCOC ruined it for me by watching that **** non-stop for 3 weeks. He didn't leave the room except for class. Finding alone time was hard, and I blame NASCAR for leaving me alone in the desert of Arizona without a chance to 'release') shows of all sorts.

IS2Scooby is right.....Monster Garage is the s***! But hey....I can appreciate anything that is difficult and done well. That show really makes me want to learn how to weld. American Chopper is cool too....except for the fact that I have to watch the father/son b**ch matches. That Black widow bike rocks.....and did anyone see them crash their trucks into eachother??? That was some funny ****.
