Anybody Mix 2 differ brands of Power Steering Fluid?

I just noticed after a full turn on my steering wheel in Park that I got the high pitch "ERRRR" sound. CHecked and on Cold, my Power Steering is almost on Low. Before I add Napa dexronIII ATF, did anyone mix 2 different brands of PowerSteering fluid? Wanna see who did and if any consequence was shown.
Recommended not to Mix but ahhh.

TIA,
walter

I have on other cars to make sure the steering rack is properly lubricated. Nothing sucks more than changing out a steering rack/pump since you didn't have enough fluids. As long as the two brands meet the dextron III standard you should be ok. If it's just to top off I wouldn't be worried.

hydraulics is hydraulics....unless its really really loud...i normally just live with it until the pump either craps out or leaks...

that noise is during turning (load)...worse when at a full lock position (full left or full right)?

I think its at full right. Only when on cold it makes the sound, but when on warm, no sound exist.

Thats what I was thinking and it shouldnt matter if I top it off with a different brand P/S fluid but the PDF manual states not to mix so Im trying to find out if anyone did mix p/s fluid before and if it will cause the pump to fail which i highly doubt but damn gremlins like to pop up when working on the rides, well mostly on my 7 than my impreza but still... Does anyone know if the factory p/s fluid is by Redline. Well thats according to subaruparts.com. Oh well gotta refund the napa p/s fluid and go see rick tomorrow. Hope the roads wont be as messed up as today.

i would go ahead and flush it and maybe try and find if theres a leak... since your losing fluids it has to be going some where right?

Thanks for the replys but dont worry boss's, there is no leak anywhere and my impreza already has almost 104,000 miles and the i didnt fill or top it off since i got the car in 2004. Plus I always checked it during my 30k, 60k,90k checkups and was good until now at the borderline Minimum when Cold.
