I'd love to try some Neo oil, but damn is that stuff expensive! I think I saw it for about $18 per quart.

Steve have you considered Torco? Eric is a big proponent of that stuff. I have used it in my last 3 oil changes, and my tranny flush. Seems okay to me so far. Although I am starting to not like the Tranny fluid lately.

Mobil 1 is cheaper at Costco than anywhere else I've found it. Getting it by the half-case there costs ~$20.

Ron's Performance has Royal Purple, but it is expen$ive. Ask Wes if he thinks it is worth it, cuz I know he had it in his car at one point.

If my car get's un-assed anytime soon, I want to do the gear oil. Where can I get good/cheaper tranny fluid? Ron;s had it for $12 a quart. Is that normal?

It ain't purple,

but I use Redline from Redline Automotive. Would be interested in a high performance filter. Anyone know where to find one locally?

Talking Smells like grapes...

IMHO, Royal purple ain't all that. I wasn't impressed when I ran it in my Miata. Those who know the Miata motors know that only good synthetics will quiet the lifter "tick". RP never did. Mobil still has my vote.

Ran Royal Purple in my little 'tard car. Wasn't impressed. Mobil 1 was quieter, and cheaper...
