I ran an estimate real quick, and for the drip rail deletes and installation, regular price comes up to $546.16 for parts and labor. We can do it for any I-clubbers for $488.01. Sorry guys, the parts themselves are pretty inexpensive, but there's a lot of labor involved. Of that $488, the parts are around $190, so that's almost $300 in labor. I wish it could be cheaper, but there's a lot of parts to be removed, just so that the rails can be installed. It's not that hard to do, just time consuming.

i would suggest doing it yourself. i did it on my own with little knowledge by reading the forums (nasioc). like bran said, it's just time consuming. you'll have more pride in your car with the labor you put in, and you'll learn something new.

Yup, the amount of "book hours" it takes is about 6 hours, and the labor rate is $44/hr. Hahaha, when's the last time you saw any dealer work done.......or any work done for that matter at $44/hr. Most places are $60, $70, $80 and then there's the dealer......$100+/hr. The funny thing is that people think that body shops are a rip off. I can assure you, if our shop was allowed to charge what other similar "trades" charge, I would not be driving a WRX wagon. There is no other industry that is regulated like the collision industry. It's no wonder that there's not a lot of new guys coming into this industry. The insurance company chokes the profit out of all shops.....who can afford to give raises???

Haha, yup that's the insurance company for you. You can go to Vakamon, or Lex Brodie's, or Servco Subaru.......THEY, and THEY ALONE, set their labor rates. WE, on the other hand, if we want to work with State Farm, or USAA, or Geico, or AIG, or ay insurance company for that matter, work with what they "GIVE" us. We do all the work, we take all the liability for the repair work done, yet we get paid about half of what any other similar business makes.

Check this out: http://www.insurancejournal.com/news...3/07/77498.htm

The CEO's BONUS was almost double what out entire shop grosses in a one year time span. Haha, Anybody still think that body shop owners are rolling in the dough???
