i am curious which 'kaaza' type of program works w/ the xp. as well as which ones are out there. but i dont use those much cuz the stupid spyware and stuff.. i think the firewall didn't work well w/ the kaaza.


does anybody have that 'my goodies' song? can someone send me? or direct link?

I thought that anything that worked with 2k worked with XP. If so, you could search for a program called KazaaLite (no adware). I was able to have it work with my personal firewall.

 

I've always liked mIRC and newsgroups. They're not as user friendly at first, but it's worth it to not have the spyware. IMHO

 

you could just stream 128kbps internet radio stations and rip the streams to save on to your hard drive. while it isn't as fast as a direct download, you should still get about 1gb of music worth each day if you leave it streaming for 24 hours straight. plus there isn't a real way of getting tracked for ripping those streams unlike downloading from kazaa / winmx / and irc.
