hey, does anyone here know of any smog place that will like just pass you with little inspection? anywhere in the bay area? this is for my friend who might buy a honda civic with a JDM motor in it that hastn been smoged yet. so the only way hes going to buy it is if he can get it smoged. also it would be nice so i dont have to swap my exhaust when the time comes.

This exact question was brought up before, about 4 months ago. You can't ask questions that deal with illegal things on this forum. You put yourself at risk and the person that helps you at risk. Good luck though!

if youre gonna smog a jdm motor in a honda you need to:

1. get a usdm ecu, put it in, go to honda and get it verified that it is usdm and the right part # for that year motor.

2. bring that paper to a smog ref, pay 38 bucks, get a cool BAR sticker and not worry about not being legal.

 

check www.illegalsmogcheckstations.com for info on getting a car smogged illegally, it has a list of all places that will do it for an additional fee

just to show you that this isn't a good idea, go onto google and just try searching varitions of the same question and you'll find forums and all this stuff. So public answers at least aren't a good idea. I guess PM's wouldn't kill anyone.

Like "any one know of a good *insert term here* in SF" lol

but like killaho said, at least there is a way to get a jdm legal. Who know's about the future though
