Their DSM stuff is/was awesome.

Wonder how much the end cost will be.

Yeah its me, the Pikachu evo 8 .

Cost should be around $4800-5500 for complete kit ( no FMIC ). If they make it similar to the evo's one.

imo, wouldn't the GT35r be a bettter option? it's not that much more laggy than the 30r but supports 500+. i think the twin scroll f135r on full-race would be ideal but i'm a tweaker of internet shopping.

GT35R are great if you want to drag race (or just want to go fast in straight), but imo... they are a bit to much for Evo 2.0L or STi 2.5L stock engine.

I had a Red and then went to 60 trim with a pretty large hot side on my Eclipse way back when and was running 20psi daily.
It depends on the type of driving you do, I think. Lag for these motors is really dependent on RPM range. They don't feel laggy if you hold rpms all the time. I concur with most that lag is overrated in general, but there are other issues to think about.

Some people zing their motors to redline all the time, and I used to be one of them. I think if you do drive this way and bury your rev limiter for no reason, the 35 isn't so bad. You just have to change the way you drive. Large turbos put higher stress overall, not just because of the amount of power they create, but where the power is created is also a big issue.
But I'm getting old and don't like holding the gears that long, so that style of driving is long and gone for me.

I also can say that large turbos need good drivers, and I suck at driving. Spool from a stop is not a big deal, but between gears you can really feel the turbo size. They slow down between shifts, and if you shift like me, then you'll never keep it spooled like you can a small turbo AHAH
