Amazing WRX Dyno

According to this video, this WRX is putting out 1000HP. There's no Dyno image to back this up, so I really can't say. But, when you see the parts being used, and the setup this fella has..... He might be right, But IMO I doubt it. Never the less, it's still one bad *** subie. You be the judge.....

Dyno numbers are decieving.
It may be true that's what the dyno read, but it may also me true that the number is comparably low or high to other dynos

What's his trap speed?

Does look like it carries the gear for the job, but, eh. Seemed a bit too tame.

There are a few things I can't stand, this being one. I don't see how anyone can still call that a WRX. Yes, it's an Impreza, but it nowhere near resembles any of the trim levels (RS/I, WRX, or STi)

That's like doing it for doing it's sake. Just like ricer's put things on their car because it fits.

There's no way they can either run that on the street OR on the track. The torque/power curve alone would make it undriveable on anything but a dyno.

Its a chassis dyno, who cares. They might as well have just stuck the built engine on a crank dyno and said "CHECK IT OUT! 1000 HP IMPREZA! woooooo"

Both those cars are BAD A$$!

Wish I had the time, money, dedication, and ability to make a beast like that.

eh, it's all relative. i agree that anything above 500 is kinda useless on a 4 cylinder AWD car unless it's strictly for drag racing. even with the most built, twin-scroll gold ball bearing carbon coated diamond wheeled setup is limited by the physical restraints of having a sub 3 liter 4 cylinder motor. you make more than 500 HP and you will start to lose streetability and driveability. the saying is true you know - there is no replacement for displacement.

Who says it's useless? How do you know that the first car was not destined for the 1/4 mile? That would be my first guess for a build like that.

I would say the second car fits your description of "the most retarded sleeper street car that blows minds".

My thoughts exactly. If this thing is strictly for 1/4 it's obviously a bad *** ride. Even if it isn't it's probably a shop project. Wouldn't you put your trust in a shop to do your build that has previously extracted 1000hp out of the same engine you have? I would.
