Am I being a a$$hole?

Just want an honest opinion from friends. Am I off base here calling this guy a pr*ck? It almost seems like a NABISCO type post.

sheesh, i put a fan on my IC for 4g63 colt and it didn't seem to help much even with a sprayer thrown in. i think the air to liquid IC is the way to go... with a fuel cell and bilge pump. seen it done with amazing results (but traffic is a no-no). i shoulda done that...
oh well. at least i didn't need to fill the cell with ice.

b

ps dan, i'll try to make it out there sometime soon.

hey dean,

you are way out of my league man. i really hated reading that entire 3 page novel.
you are not off base by calling him a pr!ck. i'm glad that ban closed that thread. it was almost headed towards the direction of evo versus sti threads.

but then again, even if meilers was in error- how detrimental would it be to other members if they joined in on his philosophies? if this were an attempt to properly educate our readers then i applaud you. one thing i see way too often is people getting into knowledge pissing contests. personally i didn't see your side that way-

Dean,

Don't sweat it man. You stated your opinion based on engineering priciples and practical assumptions. His loss, forget about it.

Reading this made me realize that I need to study a bit more for my FE exam coming up. Thermo and Fluids were my worst subjects.

Talking

Hey I don't really agree with the fans on top but I do think some on the bottom pulling the air through might work but what ever I'd rather drink beer and get a BJ than agrue about computer fans on my IC....And just for my personal interest I e-mail'd ESX asking how they keep their IC cool

$1.50 for a bag of ice, buy one and slap it on top your intercooler when you race

Well I asked ESX how they do it...

I am inquiring on how your team keeps the IC cool (heat soak) on you WRX while staging at the lights. And are you running a top mount or a front mount I can't tell from the pictures I've seen..

Jeremiah,
Air to water intercooler. Ice water cools it, It;s located in the dash area of the car just behind the Turbo.
thanks and good luck.
Ali
ESX

The only thing I am confused is he saying the IC is in the dash area of the car?? I was happy that they responded so quickly I e-mailed them last night..
