aloha HRP
hey guys, nice of all of you guys to come out to the last event at HRP yesterday...as i was driving out of the gate, it seemed a little surreal that we just had the last event at HRP...it's hard to believe we wont be going back there...
and although HRP has it's issues; no runoff room for track days, poor pavement, spots that collect water after a rain, the occasional mongoose/stray dog that frickin runs across the last third of the straightaway while on the long course (yes, i've been there)...and the HRP "monster" made a showing the first 6 autocrosses we've had there...and who could forget those mosquitos...
anyway, back to the point- regardless of it's issues, it was always there...something that was around which most of us see on a regular basis...lots of fun was had, and lots of friends made...and a few friendly rivalries...
so thanx for being there for us all these years HRP...we will miss you...
and on that note, one of our scca solo 2 chiefs decided to give a going away gift to HRP, just so she will remember us, and to bid a final aloha to her...

it's a superstition among the autocrossers...just that in each of the first 6 events we had there, someone crashed...and it wasnt noobs, but experienced racers...somehow it got labelled as the HRP monster- that the monster would show up and make the racers crash...
