+4 I have to agree with everybody else.... Island Brake & Alignment hands down is the best. It's the only shop I take my cars to have alignment....

+5 Professional, timely, well priced, and most importantly, they know what they're doing and they seem to be familiar with our cars

So I'm following everyone's recommendations to use island brake but i gotta be honest, I'm not getting a good vibe from them... really hasty service so far, and not what I'd call professional, i feel like they're rushing my car through the paces... when i got into specifics about what camber and toe i wanted, and mentioned that i have camber bolts on the seat if needed, im already getting told it costs extra to install those bolts? Umm what? So theyll loosen the strut bolts to adjust camber, but separating the bolt and inserting another costs extra? What, 0.01 of an hour? If that?

Not exactly the good, car enthusiast vibe i expected and was lead to believe so far...

Someone correct me if im wrong or talked to the wrong person

Personally went to Scotty's alignment on two different occasions; I never requested any particular alignment specs though so I don't know his flexibility in that respect.

Customer service was okay, took about an hour on a car that didn't need too many adjustments. He uses a good, late model alignment rack.

Looking at the alignment papers, it seems that he gets the numbers pretty even from LF to RH, which is good. (cross-camber / cross-toe)

Funny though, he told me that he doesn't like people watching him work. So I opted to have a sat outside for an hour watching Kam Highway. Makes him nervous I guess. (i'd probably feel the same way.)

I hear Island Brake and Alignment are good folks too. Never tried them but a lot of us enthusiasts go there. BTW I think aftermarket camber bolts are "extra" for Scotty's too. Unless you know the the guy, which I don't. I'm just a peon.

Consider Rex tire in sand island. They actually do a lot of alignments for servco, though mostly Toyota and scion, however subarus too! Before there was a servco subaru service department, Rex tire did all the servicing and warrantee work for subarus island wide. That means blown engines, clutches, trans work, etc. They are very qualified to do subaru wheel alignments and are familiar with the aftermarket products so no problem for slammed setups.

Rex tire still does all of our tires and alignments for Subaru.

lately ive been getting some bad feedback from island brake and alignment. i used to refer a lot of guys there till one guy came back and told me he got quoted 950 for front brakes/rotors for a e250 ford van, and that wasnt a final quote. i told him check out another shop and it turned out to be half the price! not to sure whats going on there now?

when i did alignments i preferred not to have people watching, only because people would figure out god dam that guy only spent 5 minutes on my car and i paid 80-100 bucks? lol new machines now you can rack a car in under 1 minute! most places regular alignments do not include aftermarket suspension setups so you have to tell them before hand and make sure your willing to pay extra.
