Advice needed please

Has anyone ever had a wheel bearing replaced on them? What does it sound like when it goes out? How loud does the sound get? I'm trying to source a problem that I've had for a while, but can't really figure out. Thanks!!

well, i havent had it on a subaru, but my grand am had one go out and it sounded like a real deep grinding noise (almost sounded like a constant engine growl). it also would change and get worse depending on which wya you tuned. hope that helps.

If you had the car on a jackstand,. pull the tire/wheel with your hands and see/feel if it moves,...I replaced the whole pass rear assembly on my friend's car and its easy to do if you got the axle nut socket,...

well i thought my wheel bearing went out but it ended up being my brake pads lipping over my rotors causing this sound that i couldn't locate. I ended cutting my rotors and the sound went away since there was a lip on the rotor already adnt he pad was grooved to the pad and the pad was over the side
