9007 the same as 9004???

9007 the same as 9004???
I just got off the phone with NAPA for my headlight and i've decided to buy just the socket and splice or solder. they say the 9004 is the same as 9007. Could someone verify this for me. thanks

I would go to the store and compare.

Sometimes the bulb is the same other than the electrical connections being on the opposite side.

Same bulb but the little tabs are different. You'll have to grind the tab at the 12 oclock position a bit to make it fit.

not really lookin forward to doing that...
it's either that, or an entirely new harness though
