Angry 5 Star (now Pflueger) Subaru

When I bought my 04 RS several years ago the car came with free life time oil changes on the sales contract. Pflueger is saying they won't honor that deal because they did not buy 5 Star Subaru. The Pflueger sales manager told me to send a letter addressed to 5-Star to resolve.

Anyone else here bought their Subie from 5-Star and ran into this problem yet?

I stopped going to 5 Star for oil changes after 15,000 miles.

They said the same to me. However on your service booklet, did they put the dollar amounts on there? Look to see if they were charging you. Cause if not then you have a legitmate claim, just write the subaru dealership online, or company and let them know your situation, then tell plueger to uphold that deal, if your car was new and on warranty.

it depends on if the deal you made was with 5 star or subaru of america. if it was a special deal through 5 star then your out of luck. it's just like when a company goes bankrupt, you won't get any money they owe you. the company 5 star is gone and any deals made with them will be void. if it says that you are entitled to free oil changes through subaru of america, then you should be entitled to them. just check the contract really close but sounds like you made the deal with 5 star and since the company is dissolved then you SOL. sry man, GL
