If you could provide what your throttle position is when it happens, how many miles are on the car and any other info we could probably narrow it down pretty well.
damn it your making me worry...

update: i took off the ic and took out the y pipe and turbo hose and boy did i find some oil in there specially in the red hose to the turbo(sti ic) and it had oil build up and so i just cleaned it with wet cloth and at the same time i replaced the pcv valve, which is located underneath the throttle(sp)...there is still smoke(way less than before) and when it does smoke a little, that oil smell is gone...that's why im looking for a oil catch can now to make the engine run cleaner from all that "blow by/excess oil"...I SUGGEST those who have upgraded turbos or just stock turbo who doesn't have an oil catch, to check his/hers regularly...

btw..jeff(wrx flip,if your reading this) i found the location of the pcv valve so lmk when you want help...bye kuya jeff...

good to hear you found the problem rudy. i got a brand new catchcan for 60 bucks if anyone wants to buy it. looks like the original boxy greddy one, but heavier(not alum i think), comes with everything incl hoses.

looks exactly like that, but a diff brand..NRG, same as my steering wheel quick release

not that it matters much, but if the helix one is alum, then mine is heavier, but if it is not alum, then they are probably the same weight.
