There is a 1991 Turbo Legacy for sale at the "Cheep Cars" lot by the Barber's Point Commisary. Justin and I went and drove it for about 100 FT yesterday. The 4EAT tranny is gone. The engine seemed to be in decent condition. It is the EJ22T block, the same one that the 22B had a few years later in 1998. This clock has the fully closed deck with oil squirters, and forged pistons. The engine seems to run alright, but it probably needs a good tune-up to run VERY well. It would be a shame if someone doesn't pic this think up as a project car. The body seems to be in excellent condition. I saw one rust spot. The rear brakes are bigger that the USDM WRX's. People use them to upgrade their WRX rear brakes. Some get it!

 

yea that was pretty fun. i'm still mad at the salesman. never have i been more mad in all my life at someone. i want to rip his head off! anyways this car is sweet. if i had some money i would pick it up for a track car and do a tranny swap. this would be a great block to throw in an rs. if you do go to check it out talk to the asian guy not the black guy b/c he is a dick. They would sell it right off for $800, I said I'd give them $500 for it. Somewhere in there is what they will sell it for. New the block is worth $1,800, and will only 66k on the odo, I bet everything is in good shape.

buy the car and take the frickin' EJ22 block out!!

 

Yeah take and drop the EJ22t block in a RS or STI, and man you can pull some power. It is a good balance of low end torque, unlike our WRX, where if you find yourself in the wrong gear you have 0 power.

Hehe.. Just so happens that I might be in the market for a beater. My 89 SC MR2 has given me too much blah already.. How are the car amneties (sp?), like AC, seats, interior, stereo, etc? I mean, if I did get it, it'd be a daily driver. I should go check it out.

 

Everything is good but the tranny, AC worked well, car has cruise, and in general other than the tranny it looks great!

For $100 the I/C that will raise the boost to 14PSI on the legacy. Someone buy it. I have several months to help you build it up.
