04 STi Sway Bar Issue

You've said that in another thread too, I don't understad why you think the stock STi endlinks are the best. The new Perrin STi specific endlinks IMHO are the best option out there, and I doubt anyone will be able to improve theirs. I'm sure kartboy and whiteline will make something similar with bushings (which I despise) What's the point of a stiffer sway bar with semi-flexible bushings attatching it?? I'm not sure that the STi Perrin endlinks are on their site yet, but we sell them here at rallitek, www.rallitek.com if you call Sean or Garner we'll get a set out to you.
Cheers,
Joel

Thanks all for the feedback. I will double check in the AM on how my sway bar is looking now. I will find out about the STi endlinks from Rallitek as well as finding out about replacement stock endlinks from the dealership here on Monday. Thanks again for your comments.

Yeah... uh.. well I'm looking at those puny stock endlinks... mine were bigger than that and I broke them pulling into a driveway..
So now I have big kartboy links and haven't had any problems.
There is a reason we have an aftermarket for endlinks. Stock endlinks suck.
Notice how the aftermarket for Subaru valves is very small? because stock subaru sodium filled mamma jammas are pretty darn good. The biggest improvements in headflow are port shaping, polishing, cams etc... ah ha... another BIG aftermarket category.
The quality of stock parts is often shown by the amount of replacement stuff available. NOT ALWAYS, but often.

I believe the stock STi endlinks are better then the stock WRX endlinks unless they upgraded the endlinks on the 2004 WRX.
I think most of the problems I've read about are after people installed the pink lateral links and used them with the Cusco sway bar in a pretty aggressive setting. When they ran their bar on the most on the aggressive setting it was actually damaging the laterial link. Some folks initially blamed it on the pinks, but when you mix and match stuff and deviate from stock you have to be willing to pay for the consequences.
Just like power mods you have to plan suspension carefully so one mod doesn't break another part of the system.

I've seen the posts
about the pink bits having problems with the Cusco rsb set at 24 under aggressive driving. I've had mine set at 22 (24 for a brief period) and am very aggressive. I would probably be faster if I could be "smoother" around the course. No problems here with the stock STI endlinks.
