I thought because it wasnt underdrive (just regular) it wouldnt mess up the engine. It doesnt take power away from anything else. unless the Gruppe-S lightweight is different from the perrin lightweight

For you, RSB is definitely the way to go. After that, BUSHINGS BUSHINGS BUSHINGS... You don't have to blow a crap load of cash, and the results are great.
Auto-X is probably the single best place to learn how to drive your car. Go. Do eet.
As for U/D pulley and lightened flywheel: I have the Vishnu U/D pulley and the Exedy 12lb Flywheel on my 02 WRX wagon. Have yet to "lose" the CPS/CAS and I drive like a madman on a daily basis. However, I do have RA gears, but that shouldn't affect it. I know that WRX151 had issues with his CPS/CAS "losing" itself with his flywheel, but I don't remember what weight he had.
Back to what I said earlie: Bushings are some of the single best bang for your buck mods you can do. They aren't sexy, people don't say things like "Dude, I love the way those bushings look on your subframe." But when you tear off down the road with a passenger, and your car handles great, and there are very few creaks, rattles, and other sillyness, they will ask, "What kind of suspension mods you got?"
Get bushings. And Mounts (Tranny, engine, pitch stop)
