Here's my bike, for less than the cost of a single wheel for some of you guys!

It's a kawasaki ex500, the perenial starter bike.

The bike has had one previous owner, who got in an accident. The bike was taken care of by insurance, NOT salvaged. Bike was fixed almost perfectly, except for some small weirdness. This includes the fading touch-up paint job, and the weird way the rear brake lever is bent. Nothing that hinders operation though.

The bad:
-57k miles, lots for a bike
-torn-up seat
-needs a valve adjustment. If you want, I have a detailed DIY and can help you out with it.
-needs an oil change

The good:
-Upgraded front suspension (.9kg springs, 10w oil)
-michelin pilot power radial race tires, 60-80% tread left
-I rebuilt the brakes this season, they're good to go
-All electrics and controls work flawlessly

Any other info you might want, let me know, I know some I-clubbers were interested in getting into motorcycles, here's your chance to do it for the cost of a few tires!

 

where is the bike located?

 

in redwood city/emerald hills. I have class tonight from 5:45 to 8, but would be happy to show the bike anytime before/after. I'm in a bit of a hurry to sell, my dad kicked me out of the house for owning it. It's what I get for being hardheaded I guess.

 

rides straight and everything?

 

rides straight and stable, to 100mph and beyond. Slight head wiggle when decelerating via engine braking past 50mph, no wiggle when accelerating, no wiggle when braking. I've used this bike to chase race replicas through the canyons, so yes it goes
