20G on an STi
Hey guys,
Have you tuned a 20G on an STi?
If you did can you post info (graph, etc)?
I have seen Miguel's graph with the SR40 but I am curius if you have noticed a difference with another simmilar size turbo like the 20G.

Didn't you already have the SZ49 on your car? Why did you sell and now wanting to upgrade again? Did the SZ49 make too much lag or something.

yup I did and it was nice but I always felt that the SZ49 was longing for more octane (93 and race maps). I had no interest in creating race gas maps and no such thing is 93 octane in CA. So I sold off everything.
Well good or bad I guess I could have swapped my 49lbs wheel with the 44lbs wheel that the 20G has. The SZ49 was not laggy I got my max 18psi at 3.5k rpms. But to be honest the torque curve was not there. I know it would have done well with race gas and high up but as I said I never cared for race gas or for power at 6k rpm.
Low and behold I am still looking for ways to gain more power so the posibity of a new turbo is still there. Not sure if I will go for it but who knows.

well I am still sorting out the "new" exhaust.
So I may swing by after it gets installed to set a tuning appointment.
Hey who knows I may be honkie dorie with the stock turbo.
