Interchangeable parts

I was looking for interchangeable parts for the 08+ WRX with other years or Subarus. So far I came up with the Manual LGT Downpipe and thats about it. haha .Is there anything else that we can use from other Subarus or other WRX years.

As far as I can tell for bolt on's, headers/up pipes will fit any of the 2.5L turbos, most of the front strut and lower braces should fit, and most intercoolers and intakes i think.

I'm kinda surprised the downpipe is the same length. When I ordered mine they sent an older model one that ended up being about 6" too short.

Intercoolers are definitely completely different. Our whole intake manifold is different. The throttle body on our car is like the legacy's and our turbo has a totally different mounting flange for the intercooler using a two bolt setup. Also, we have the same chassis as the 05-09 legacy(sedans only but the front end is the same on the wagons) so I don't think that any body mounting braces will fit. Intakes run through the fender well so I'm not sure if they will fit, also we have a different inlet so I'm not sure on that. Any top feed injectors will fit from any year wrx or 07+ sti. Internals are also the same as the older 2.5l wrx's. But overall the car is Kind of new breed. Hope this helps

Lol, totally forgot the wrx intake manifold isn't the same. Your intake goes into the fender? So stock it's like a cold air intake? I guess it's been a while since I saw a wrx engine bay, sorry.

I thought the intakes were the same except the sti comes with a intake resonator but the wrx doesnt.

Does anyone know the difference between the odler downpipes and ours? too me it seems like length and possibly bends but not 100% sure

The one I got that was for an older model was 6" shorter and bent up into one of my heat shields under the car. I'd suggest if u want a dp to buy one that's made for ur car. Although if u have a chop saw and a welder then u can just make an older one fit.
