Does anybody else think its weak?
That they are giving the 09's more power and better suspension? WTF!!!!!!!

Yeah I know that. But that GT is going to have an auto only. I still think its pretty lame. Me and my lady both bought 08's so thats about 50k to subaru... Wouldnt you change the engine with the body??? Well change the engine for the better on the 08's not wait till the 09's... oh well... Ill just have to do it all myself like I wasnt planning on it anyways.

09 is just a slighty bigger turbo with more boost and better springs and standard premium package with debadged chrome

I heard they are going to be 25k too which isn't much more then the 08's... but I wasn't planning on swapping turbos. just stage two probably... I know its not that big of a deal just kinda rubs me the wrong way that's all... oh well ya win some and then u get **** on sometimes too.

thaSicness is right, I already have the STi pinks springs and I can get a Legacy turbo and have it installed...BOOM 15psi and I got myself an 09' - I'm still the only one in my hood who has an 08' I always get these stares like what kinda car is that which makes me feel awesome, i LOVE my 08 bigtime...
its true that they will have more power and better springs but they will also cost more. close to 30k.. so just get cobb springs or whoever and a turbo from a legacy and ur set, and it wont cost you nearly as much as the 09!

i know how you feel man. im still kinda ticked off about it. i even called two dealerships lol. i even got a price on the turbo that will be on the 09
which is by the way just a 08 sti turbo

did you expect the company to become stagnant and keep making the same models over and over and over and over?
should all 01 RS owners be mad that the USDM WRX came out the following year?

no not all of them just some that didn't know that the new models where gonna be different. anybody who has a hard on for a certain car knows they are going to release it at this date. not go and buy a car that year and then have the car company go I think we are going to change this and this and this. everybody who bought a 02 wrx knew they where hitting the shores in 02... so why would they buy an 01 RS? they wouldn't they would tap the table and wait for the wrx. if subaru would have said before last month they where gonna change the body in 08 and the engine in 09 how many people would have bougthen 08's? that's all I'm saying. don't get me wrong I love my car and I will continue to love my car I just think they should have done the change in 08.

And its not just better springs and a larger turbo... is a better suspension set up with springs and struts and better tires. And its just a better base to build up from. For me ill have to swap a turbo and fuel injectors and all that good stuff that goes with wanting to make a monster and the 09 is just a better starting point but oh well =)

I may give my 08' back in at the end of the lease anyways to move on to a Legacy GT, I just had me a baby girl (8 months old now) and by the time she is 3 yrs old she may want some leather and more room to play (in her car seat of course). She may also want daddy to go faster 
who knows....
