Power door locks on 1999 Forester
I recently purchased a 1999 Subaru Forester Limited Edition. All electrical system components, including power windows, stereo, cruise control, heated seats, etc. are working fine, but the most important (to me, anyway), the power door locks are not working.
I have tried replacing the fuse in the appropriate location just under the steering column to the left, but the fuse immediately blows as soon as I try to activate the power door lock.
I am looking for info on how to troubleshoot this problem, possibly a wiring diagram or pointers on where I can search for a "short" or what may be the cause of this.
Thanks!
