Well keep in mind that the OBDII system is very sensitive to emmissions. So if you forget to tighten down your gas cap OR overfill the tank by trying to round off the fill ups to some number.........you will probably get a "non blinking" CEL. Those are both YOUR fault.

Sorry you had the problem.....Subaru is no more sensitive to those issues than other cars......if it happens again ...try restting the ECU via the tried and tested battery disconnect method.
