Guy's from Singapore, they do that there and honestly if the powerband wasn't overly affected I could see myself having one in my stable like that. It's no different as far as what needs to be done than a Dakar Rally Version. Heck, alot of the engineering logic carries over from even JeepSpeed Cherokees, you just gotta figure out your IRS/IRF driveline drop. (Screws up clearance thoh.)

I had 18x9.5 et 20 on my wrx, ran those with springs. I want to try the same with the xt.

Full disclosure, the wheels have already been ordered... and I went aggressive. 18x9.5 +20.
I owned an identical setup that I sold with my bugeye, and really liked the poke (not everybody's cup of tea).
Most of my research showed people running et. In the 30's which was nice and flush, but for some reason I'm compelled to see how far I can push it.
In regards to a tire combo, I'm gonna run a 245/40 which should give me a little help without looking super stretched.
Hopefully this will all work without having to ruin my fenders... I'm expecting a good roll and pull.
Oh and I'll be going low: )

Not trying to be a downer but your not going to be able to run a 9.5 and a 245 easily. Your going to need to run decent amount of camber and some aggressive fender work. That's if your going to lower it on that setup.

I was running 245 on a 18x8.5 but they where dz101 so they are a bit smaller of a 245. I personally had no rubbing issues but I also did not have rolled fenders either. Now my new set up is 255/40 federal 595 rsr, which run wider. They are closer to a 265. Those are on a 17x9 and I was rubbing like crazy. I run probably max camber on camber bolts in the rear which is about 3 maybe not quiet sure.

What is your suspension setup like? how low? If you can post some pics I'd really appreciate it.
