Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

What intake should i get

so i am looking up cold air intakes on ebay and i am seeing 2 diffrent kinds one is short and the other one has a longer pipe. i am not sure what one to buy if u got any imput plz let me know

See 'sticky' thread at top of forum page, "Cold Air Intake Debate". You may decide not to bother getting an intake at this point.

I am not running a WRX i am runniung a 2.2 L so me dont think that aplys to me

I shouldn't have assumed you had a WRX. It always helps to specify what car/engine you have when posting.

agreed, go with the rallitek intake or the cobb otherwise your wasting your money.

BTW, I have the rallitek w/ borla headers and a cat-back on my 2.2 and LOVE IT

thats a big if, and to mr. m I've only had good experiences with my intake and with rallitek, why is it a bad idea to have a cone filter on a subie?

i heard that intakes can harm your maf,is this true,untrue?
i really want to get one but have heard bad things.

A crappy intake can, if it is not properly supported the MAF bounces around and can trigger CEL's or even break the MAF. You cant see it but the rallitek has a metal support near the MAF so that it doesnt vibrate and cause damage
