Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

the ej18 wont really make too much more power than what it already has, so i would say just work on the suspension and handling for now. doing that, you will be able to drive faster because your car will handle better! but an intake and exhaust do help a bit with power!

Get an RS header and do a 2.75 inch exhaust all the way from front to back, add a cold air intake, upper front and rear strut braces, and RS struts (if it's an AWD 1.8) and springs. It doesn't give you a whole lot more power but, it's a hell of an improvement. If you get a nice aftermarket 2.5 header then you can save it for maybe an actual 2.5 engine swap, otherwise just look for somebody to sell you their old one.
