Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

AEM intake

if u are not a serious racer, i suggest AEM intake, good for money and performance. but it is not good to have it in winter (snow area). be'x dust and salt may harm the engine. this is the advice from my mechanic.

I recomend a search.

Sorry for sounding like a dick, but this same question has been discussed to death many of times. You will get more info by reading the previous disscusions and chances are you will make an informed decision on what one you get, and will not regret it later.

I would highly suggest using the stock airbox, remove the snortkster, and put an Air Hog or foam air filter in there. Honestly, that stock airbox is able to support a decent amount of power. Any change in it will merely change the powerband.....(lose low-end for high-end, or vice versa.)

Also, some of these aftermarket intakes make the car run richer or leaner.

No problems with water, I have had it for 2+ years and drivin' in every condition where water is a factor. The opening sits in the top of the fender well (relativly close to where the OEM intake opening is) and goes in an inch or so. It is not exposed to the tire or outside at all. Plus, it is angled down from the TB to the fender in a way where you don't have to worry about water every sitting in there etc.... if there ever was water, it would drain out in the fender(my assumption).
