Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Has or does anybody used these carburetors on a n/a Subaru engine? Just curious. We have used them for years on high-output VW flat-fours, somtmes making in excess of 100hp per liter.

Just wondering if they have been tried in the Suby world?

Nobody, huh? I just wondered how well the Suby would react to a pair of these, for competition use, esp. drag race. Since the venturis are swappable, you can tailor the carburetors for the powerband. With 37mm venturis, the carbs will flow about 550cfm each, and on an efficient 2.0 liter engine, this equals peak hp around 6300rpm. Venturis are available up to 45mm diameter.

??

Anybody cast manifolds to adapt the Webers onto the Subaru?

Jim, you should try USMB. The folks there have far more experience with older Subarus than we do. I promise you'll get a prompt, thorough answer shortly after posting.
