Spark Plugs: NGK Copper vs. Iridium
Is there a "noticable" difference in performance from Iridium Spark plugs on a N/A '01 2.5RS over the copper NGK spark plugs that seem to be the flavor of choice for scooby owners? (Only mod so far is a Cobb CAI) There is definitely a noticable difference in the price... Iridiums cost about 8 times more than the NGK coppers.
Also, will a certain brand of plug wires make any noticable improvements over stock? I've seen Sparkco wires mentioned before, how do they measure up to the competition?
Thanks. Side note, I'm considering doing the grounding mod at the same time as changing the plugs and wires... any thoughts? Good idea, or waste of money?
Thanks again.

The only difference between the two spark plugs you'll feel is in your wallet. Wires won't make a noticeable difference either, but if you do replace them, make sure you get ones that stay on tight (there are some lousy aftermarket brands out there). Finally, the grounding mod can make a difference depending on how much hesitation you currently feel, but IMHO you'd be better off doing it as a DIY mod and not wasting $60 on a kit that's little more than wire from Home Depot.
