spark plug seal

I had (still have) since last september a strange burning paper smell coming from the back left side (when you are in front of the car) of the engine bay. My dealer (after three visits) had not a clue but had the brillant idea to wash the engine. Three months latter, the engine start to misfire due to a coroded coil and spark plug. My dealer never recognized that it was due to the washing. Unfortunately when I removed the corroded spark plug, parts of the seal that is between the spark plug and the head came with the spark plug (not good at all). Does someone know what kind of tool I can use to remove this seal and put a new one (where to buy it) and does anybody has an idea what can this burn paper smell come from (never had that in the past). I have a 2.5 RS MY 2000.
Thanks for your help

I have no idea what the smell is, but if the engine washing was on the service write-up, it's definitely on them to repair any damage. Hopefully they wrote it down.
