Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

HI guys
I am thinking of getting a Random Technology catalytic converters for my 99 2.5RS. Anyone use it? How was it? Any problem?

i JUST intalled mine yesterday... i didnt notice any gains right when i installed. i reset the ecu so im just waiting for it to settle in. i have it mated to a revolution motorsports header (like borlas) and a stock catback. the sound has changed, its kinda like a burble. i thought it was gonna sound kick *** and mean but so far it hasnt. i think its because im still runnin the stock catback.

today the car felt a little more responsive and the sound is a little deeper but nothing you could REALLY tell. we'll see how it goes in the coming days.

It's definitely the catback's fault. The car should feel a little quicker and more responsive in the midrange, but the sound won't get better with the stock catback. If you add a Stromung catback, you'll fall in love with your car all over.

I installed one on my BE Legacy and it did not do anything besides rattling.

Get the TWE high flow cat. It's cheaper and will be better craftsmanship. I was going to buy one but saving up for another engine.
