Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

question about parts..

is the spt/bosel exhaust a full exhaust or just catback?
and is it any good sound-wise, because i'm looking for a nice deep throaty tone that's not loud

either way, even if the flange needs to be rotated, it's not rocket science. A muffler shop can do that in 2.5

its connects to the car's cat, so i'm assuming that makes it an axle back?

if it connects to the cat then it's a cat-back...if its from the mid-pipe back then it's an axleback...

at least this is how i always thought it worked lol

as for exhausts, a 2002 or 2003 WRX axle back will fit without out any mods. alright sound, little less restriction, and a dual tip I used that for a couple months and then bought a 3 inch cat-back exhaust made for an STi. to use this you must cut the pipe just after the first bend and extend it about 3 inches. no big just a little 3" ID extender and some welding. but the 3inch piping gives a more throatier tone and not raspy like a civic.

and for turbos, what turbo kits are you guys looking at? the 06 2.5i and WRX have differnent intake manifolds and i dont believe the IC will fit. ive been thinking about a turbo ever since i got my *** handed to me by my buddys Saab 93 Viggen.

hope the exhaust portion helps

i got a WRX AEM Intake to fit on my 07 2.5i (so dont say they dont fit, lol) [then again, i did have to fabricate one small pipe to connect the 2 pipes together, but if you only want a WAI, you can use the WRX/STI intakes!]

from what i've seen, you can use a stock wrx/sti up pipe & down pipe & TMIC (top mount inercooler) & of coarse the stock turbo (06+). now anything else i have no clue as for i'm still researching this info! (i might even experiment [sp?] a little)

Ive been looking at the where the maf is, its looks like its right on the bottom end of the IC and right on the intake manifold. now i dont believe my car would be able to read the signal from a wrx maf because i think they read the air comming in and also have to deal with the air being forced back through the BOV. so wouldnt it be a different signal?
