You need to ask a more specific question than that. different engines have different strengths and weaknesses that make them suitable for specific purposes.

EJ25, tons of parts available and as the domestic boys say, there is no replacement for displacement but yeah, be more specific

i'm looking to do an engine swap in a 98 Impreza and I want it to drive pretty normal, but be able to blow by anyone.

in that case drop in a JDM EJ20t. WRX engine from japan. It'll bolt right in and be not only streetable, but very fast
