omfg o2 sensor price!!!

WTF? I went to murries (local auto part stor) and asked for a front o2 sensor for my 2.5 rs.. $182 and they would have to order it ... that means 4 days shipping!!
any one know where i can get one cheaper!! if not i think i might just have to take my chances getting my old one out of my midpipe for the new catless pipe. I know my rear one is bad so its not like i have that to fall back on!!!

Well, I am converting my car to a Spec-C twinscroll turbo setup, and I had a ***** of a time finding a JDM downpipe....well, to make a long story short, I ordered my DP from http://www.rallispec.com/ and they sold me 2 o2 sensors with the DP for ~$50 ea. IIRC. I believe the sensors are the same as the stock USDM ones, so you may wanna give them a call and ask if they have any instock. Its worth a shot.

Another good place to check is www.subaruparts.com...they may have it as well.

good luck

22641 $114.26 Sensor assembly-air/fuel ratio front Fits: EJ251
22690 $114.26 Sensor assembly-oxygen no.1 Fits: EJ251
these are the two I came up with and im not sure what one I want.

well you never actually said what year your car was.

There has been a recall for many 2000-2001 Imprezas and Foresters for the
front Oxygen sensor. Your local dealership can run a check on your VIN and
find out if your vehicle is affected. As it turns out, mine was affected
and I was getting the occasional Check Engine light front the front O2
sensor. So out with the old, and in with the new.
you may want to pm kastle (guy who wrote article) on this one. my o2 sensor went out very recently and i just went to the dealership and ended up paying top dollar ($210). thats like half my paycheck!

oops yep your right. its a 2000... My o2 sensor is not bad its just that im switching midpipes to a catless and would like to change the o2 sensor, so i dont think the recall angle would work but ill ask my local dealer.
my guess is id need the 22690
