Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

oil puking out off my timing belt cover

my 95 impreza 2.2 has sprung a leek. I have oil driping out from my timing belt cover runing down the oil pan then blowing back onto the y pipe.
Its not alot but it smells! How many seals are back there? This looks like its going to be a pain in the *** to fix, think I'm going to have the dealer do it. To bad it already has a new timing belt with 20,000 miles on it.

If the oil comes out from your timing belt cover it could be a number of things.

Most likely it is either the oil pump seal/gasget or the cam seal.

You can take the covers off and see where the oil is coming from.

I'd bet it's the oil crank seal, pretty common. I had it happen to my 97 OB so have lots of people. How many miles do you have?

We had our crank seal go at around 70K at the time I had them change the timing belt and water pump. I hope your new belt is OK, it may have gotten oil soaked.

Here is some info on the oil pump seal:
