Hi all, used to own a 02 wrx but has been sold for a while now....just recently picked up a 00 2.5RS .
Its been so long I forgot my last forum name, so I created this new one...haha

Anyways, I wanted to hear what you guys recommend doing to this car to start with...I've check scoobymods, and plan on doing the silencer hack and replacing the filter with a K&N. (recommend a better brand if you know)
For now I just want to keep the original look under the hood...anyone have tips on other performance or useful mods on this car?

Well when it comes to engine and you want to keep it minimal, keep it minimal.

K&N air panel is good. Hot wires, plugs. Maybe headers.

The RS is not about power but handling.

 

First mod should be a rear swaybar w/ endlinks. Like Life said, all suspension first then go for more power.

 

Thanks for the responses....I decided to go with a short ram AEM.
Its definetly louder, and at high rpms it makes a strange rattle before redline....I've checked everything for the rattle. Someone said it's the automatic trans switching gears or something. Didn't notice much of a power difference, definetly responds differently at lower rpms, seems slower..
Might just be me though..
