Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Lowering a 2006 2.5i

So I am looking to lower my car soon...2006 Impreza 2.5i. I was wondering what springs I can use, because I notice a lot of set ups (both coilovers and lowering springs) for wrx and sti's, but not as many for just impreza 2.5rs or 2.5i. What can I use? Do wrx or sti springs fit n/a impreza's? any reccommendations for springs? Looking for a more aggressive stance (the stock wheel gap on my car makes me sob) and a little stiffer ride. I'm not looking to be tucking 19s or anything, nor do i want to feel every little pebble in the road. Something that'll stiffen up the handling and make it look more aggressive is all. Thanks for the help in advance.

Alot of people in the 2006 mod thread have listed the springs that they know work along with pics of their rides so you know how it will end up looking, so I'd suggest checking that out. Tho from my understand all the wrx stuff will fit and i think most of the STi stuff does as well. but for factual info check out the other thread

I have seen multiple posts of 2.5i Imprezas with the Tein S-Tech lowering springs. I had them on my 02 WRX and it gave the car a real nice aggresive stance without sacrificing ride quality that much. Now I have the Cobb Tuning lowering springs on my STi which are a little stiffer and supposedly built better with an equally agressive stance as the S-Techs. I don't however know if the Cobb springs are compatable with your 2.5i.

anything that works on a newer model wrx will work on our cars. i have the 02+ tein basics and its working greating, even though tein's own rep said that it wouldnt fit my car. shows how much they know.

I personally went through a few different brands before i settled with the 06+ STI H-techs, the drop is decent and the ride is progressive which i am very happy about.
