Get a rear swaybar. Our stock ignition system is more than adequate. I've heard many complaints about Magnecor wires coming loose on the #3 cylinder, IIRC. Like always, you have supporters and opposers of any mod, but personally, for $90 I think you could spend your money more wisely. Just my $0.02.

Swaybars are my #1 recommended mod too- but they don't affect horsepower. I would also suggest getting NGK coppers- they're only about $1.19 apiece and work wonderfully. Magnecors work similarly to the grounding mod- no actual horsepower, just slightly improved throttle response and faster revving. Unless of course it's coming loose from #3- which does happen to some people. The cheapest way to make power on the EJ25 is to go with MRT headers, custom exhaust, and a PDM Racing intake+ 3" mod to the airbox. It's not the MOST powerful setup, but you'd have to spend a lot more to do better. You can get the MRTs for around $450, the full custom catback will run you $350ish, and the PDM intake is $55 and works with the K&N you already have.

All that exhaust work will void your warranty though. I'm afraid if you want a fast car with a warranty you are SOL. I'd spend my money on mods elsewhere in the car. Swaybars, short shifters, and such will all make your car more fun and your warranty will be intact.

the exhaust work wont void your warranty at all. unless they can prove that the exhaus actually caused what went wrong with your motor, then your warranty still covers it.

i too recommend a swaybar, tons of difference over stock handling. wont give you more power, but will make you faster through the bendies. makes the car much more nuetral handling, or you can get an addjustable to play around with, maybe have some fun drifting. for power, there really isnt much out there that is cheap. i would say go with the MRT headers. they give a little power down low, and sound amazing. even with the stock exhaust, the MRT's give it a nice boxer sound

In theory you are right. In practice things are a lot more complicated. More times than not you have to prove that your mods are not the cause of the problem. They'd probably void your entire drivetrain's warranty.

just study up, make sure you know exacltly what you are talking about, know what the cause of the warranty problem is, find out how your mods and the problem are connected, walk and talk like you are god of subarus, and dont back down. service reps like to beat around the bush and throw in a lot of unnecessary info to confuse you, if you dont just back down and question yourself, then it shouldnt be a big deal, they win with their ability to talk, not with technical knowledge

get a anti-lift kit it will help with turn in and it makes the car seem more capable. When you do the 20mm sway bar(I think that one the best ,or bigger) and the anti-lift kit you will be amazed at the difference
