Intake install help...
I got a Stage 1 Power Package from Cobb tuning for my 2002 Impreza OBS for Christmas. I installed the intake...Everything fit correctly, all hoses went where they were supposed to go, etc., but I didn't find the Intake Air Sensor anywhere! The directions from Cobb said that it would be on the stock airbox, but it's not (I checked, there's not even a place for it). Now there's a hole on the Cobb pipe for it, but nothing to go in it. I look in the general vicinity, but all of the wires and sensors seemed to be where they should be.
Does anybody know where it is? Do I need to worry? I covered the hole in the straight pipe with a piece of duct tape...

Ha, Ha! Thats funny, because my Cobb intake didn't have the IAT hole. The sensor, if you have one, is on the front of the airbox next to the throttle body. Either you specified the wrong year, or Cobb sent you the wrong one. I didn't want to mess around exchanging parts with Cobb, seeing as how I had to wait eight weeks for my intake, so I had a mechanic drill the hole for the sensor. I would think covering up the hole should be OK, as long as it doesn't leak air.

Thanks...
According to the literature, the year is correct, but it was also made for about 5 different subaru models...I ended up tying the PCV valve into the hole, and everything worked out correctly.
