I have to apologize first as it has taken me to long to understand how great these cars really are.

I am new to the modifying of cars and would like some help in finding an intake for my 06 2.5i
all i find is CAI for WRX and STI's
I have already a Catback @ 2.5" and now im hooked
but where to find a CAI

Injen, Weapon R, Cobbtuning. So far Injen and Cobbtuning are the ones with the Cold Air Intakes.

 

would an 04 or 05 fit my 06?

 

Yes its the same thing. I recently helped a friend install a weapon r intake on his 07 2.5 RS. It fits fine.

 

how about wrx intakes?

 

NO it will not work. The wrx intake starts from the passenger side near the abs. The RS intake starts from the top of the engine. Two different areas and pipe bends.

what about SPT parts i found an intake in there brochure
made by hks, any thoughts?

 

thats for the 00-01 2.5rs but you can make the weapon r look like it, you just need a hks filter which is alot better then the filter it comes with.

that strut brace looks all to similar to one i bought off ebay for my old car and didnt even bother putting in. i dont understand why you wouldnt run the pipeing straight into the guard and get fresh air.
did you find the earthing kit did anything?

I would say go with either injen or cobbtuning whichever one is cheaper.

does weapon r make a CAI? i thought all theirs are short air?
