Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

I dont know...

How reputable is the shop? If it were me I would save my pennies and buy a pre-made kit from a reputable source such as HKS or others. Also, that way you would get a higher performance muffler and also would get that great aftermarket rumble.

thanks for you imput. The Shop is very good. I was thinking more on the lines of a Borla Muffler and the Cat-back set up i want is 500 so its cheaper to do it my way. So any more imput would be great

get the 2.25 inch piping it is the best compromise you get the high end power while keeping your low end torque.

2.0 inch piping will not give you as much top end.
and if you were to go 2.5 or 3 inch piping you would lose most of your torque.

most people stick with 2.25 inch piping on their NA scoobys... thats what i got. and i love it.

any straight through designed muffler will do. I would say pick out a muffler for the looks and have the exhaust shop fab you a custom 2.25 inch unresonated midpipe.
good luck.

Though I dont know what it is called, there is a option which a lot of the porsche guys have been doing for a long time. It basically is a straight pipe all the way cat back in any size pipe, but then at the end getting bigger to a 2.5-3inch....straght all the way. But to minimize sound they use this thing that sticks into the pipe and deadens the sound. I know it is a vauge discription and I'm looking for a pic so when I find one I will post it.
Cheers

just make sure that you are getting mandrel bends, not crush bends. And definately get 2.25, thats what I have and its great.
