2-1/4"? Really? Guess the head(s) doesn't flow well. What is the size of the stock system?

I drive a pretty beastly all-motor DOHC Neon, so I know all about exhaust velocity. I use 2-1/2" pipe on that car, and it's almost not enough. But that's because of the cams and the head.
But 1-3/4" piping...jeez. I'm pretty sure my old Accord came with at least 2", and that thing was a piece. Now...I would look at a stock system that size and suggest that the head doesn't flow so well, due to port sizes or valve count or something. Or a seriously mild cam. Whatever the case, I guess it's probably not that great of an idea to go larger than another 1/2" on an otherwise stock engine anyway.

Yes, the heads flow poorly and the cams are quite conservative, tuned for emissions and torque.
