I just installed Brullen headers that were heat wrapped and coupled with a custom made catless midpipe and scoobysport catback exhaust.
I'm always around loud cars. All my friends are running catless with no real noise issues.
Okay.. my car is a freaking animal. I thought I could drive around with the car reasonably loud.. my car is so loud it's disgusting. It's a pure heatscore! If I stepped on it, people could probably hear my car across town. The power is freakin amazing though.
This monday I'm installing an 18" resonator and hopefully it will be tolerable. Take my word on it, I read people's opinions on here and I thought they were overexaggerating.. well if you go straightpiped it's just disgustingly loud, the sound is pretty cool.. it has some gross rasp to it on decel from high rpm's but it's pretty nice otherwise.

ok sweet that is what i was hoping to find is someone that is running catless like that. I am thinking I will run the catless and just run a resonator and see how that sounds. I live in a semi-quiet neighborhood and I think running catless will destroy the peace and quiet sense of it. I love the disgustingly loud feeling and sound especially when decelerating. Let me know on what you think of it with the 18" resonator. Any other problems? does your straightpipe have any o2 sensors in it or is it pointless without the cat to put them in?

It's a much safer route to keep your cat and spend $50 on a fabbed test pipe. That way you still have the cat if you need it later for emissions testing after you get busted for going catless. FWIW, factory cats (the only ones you can legally put onto an OBDII car if you get caught without them) are upwards of $800.

$800???....um ouch....no one around where I live will even touch the idea of fabbing up a pipe for my car because it is "ilegal"....I would probably toss like a 12" or 15" resonator on the fabbed up test pipe if i can find someone that is that will even do one for me. What should I do about the o2 sensors or will it not even matter at all?
