Exhaust Opinions (which stock header?)
Long story short. I am just now finishing up a swap project. A while back I got a 97' OBS (bare) shell. Afterward a friend sold me sub-frames, drive terrain, engine, computer, & wiring from his 00' RS. Before I finish the project I need to piece together exhaust. Fortunately I have a SPT cold air intake tube w/k&n filter. Unfortunately I have all stock exhaust pieces. Also need a couple more. Ha.
Question being, which stock exhaust manifold should I use between:
90-94' ej22 (dual port w/cat)
ej25 headers
Personally if I go with 2.5's I would basically be paying $60 for them. Then pay local fabricator for test pipe. Then buy o2 sensors...OR...I think the 2.2 y pipe would flow much better & keep the ol' RS engine quiet in the ol' OBS. Plus another local guy has a pair he will sell for $150 w/o2 sensor. Please let me know what you all think I should do.
