I have ej25 06 motor,how much or big can I get it bore to? Would 2.8 be too much?

 

I've heard of people going 2.7, tho i don't know if thats on a stock block, or acutally a forged one?

 

What kind of gains would that give you and whats the price for something like that.

 

the 2.5l engine is about as big as it's going to get with put spending a bunch of money. Although if your are so inclined, take a look at crawford performance for their S4 block. It's big! Since we both want more power from out ej25 I would get all the bolt on's you can and then get Cobb's acces port if they come out woth one, until then for engine managment you could go to I-speed usa and get one of their reflashes.

The most horse power you are going to make and be steer legal with out spening stupid amounts of money is 220-240 hp and the 240 is being generous.

you can increase the displacement (I forget to how much though). Check out Cobb's website (www.cobbtuning.com) and see what they have. Don't worry about all the discontinued stuff though, they are just working on a new accessport (which I'd suggest waiting for over anything else since it wont be too long untill it comes out most likely)

more info....cobbs stage 2 sti pro series shortblock is 2.65..not sure what can be done with the n/a2.5 though

 

thanks for info guys, later in future (when every I have the money)to modififed the motor.My goal is between 250 to 300hp (if possible), on a N/A motor. I want to do sort of subiesport route, in their zero to hero project.
