Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

code 0505 Idle Control System?

I'm getting this code thrown and I can't figure out how to fix it. I've posted about the problem before...its pretty much that the idle fluctuates when cold but then once I warm the car up and turn it off and on again, the problem goes away. It doesn't go away if I just leave the car running though. I have to turn it off and then on again. I'm getting code 0505 which is a problem with the Idle Control System...I've cleaned the idle control valve and cleaned up the throttle body and stuff. what else can this be? again, it only happens when starting car from cold...

Did you lubricate the valve barrel after you cleaned it? It might be getting stuck...

nah, the stuff I used is supposed to lube the valves and linkages as well as clean it. I'm just wondering why it goes away when warm though...
